CT Bank robber caugh after 6 day spree robbing 6 banks

CT State police have taken suspected bank robber Heather Brown into custody.

The 34-year-old Norwich woman is suspected of robbing six banks in six days. No it's not a misprint expects in six days!

I always thought banks had better security measures than that.  I thought that when you robbed a bank they press that little secret button the police would come running and catch you Instantly. I guess that's not the case if someone was able to rob six banks in six days. Perhaps security isn't as tough as it once was.

LOL @ Ellen... yikes!

There seem to be a fair number of bank robberies around here, too.  Maybe there is a secret button, but the robbers get away quickly?? It's unusual to hear about a female bank robber....

It always happens that way in the movies, they press the button and the bad guys get caught .... unless it's a movie about where the con artists and then they are the good guys and they always get away with it.

Do you think somebody at the casinos got suspicious about the money she was bringing in?

There are two best times to rob a bank:

  1. When there is a DUI and driver's license checkpoint. This is because all of the cities get together and send all of their law enforcement officers to help out, so there is no one left to handle regular things like bank robberies. Fortunately, the public has to be notified about DUI and driver's license checkpoints so that we can use other roads -- yet people still drive through those checkpoints drunk or with no driver's license! Can we say "Darwin Awards"? Anyway, back to bank robberies. Make note of the checkpoint and then rob the bank farthest away.
  2. When the banks first open, because that is when all the law enforcement officers are on their first break, usually at a donut shop or Denny's, so rob a bank farthest away from donut shops and Denny's.
