The twenty fifth annual St. Charles, Il Scarecrow Festival takes place this year during the weekend of October 9-11. There are activities for those of all ages including the ever popular collection of wildly creative and imaginative Scarecrows prominently displayed in Lincoln Park. There is also a wide array of live music, carnival and petting zoo, arts and craft displays, and food stations offering mouthwatering specialties from many local eateries. Admission is free and complimentary trolley rides are available to transport you to activity sites.
St. Charles is a charming city conveniently located on the Fox River about an hour west of Chicago. St. Charles features delightful pubs, restaurants, boutiques, arts and collectibles shops and antique stores for your every enjoyment. Resorts and lodging are readily available for those wishing to stay overnight. Festival hours are Friday and Saturday 9am-10pm and Sunday 9am-4pm.
