The World Trade Center left tons of mangled and twisted steel in it's horrible collapse. That steel has been melted down in a foundry in Amite LA, and refashioned into a Peace Keeping Vessel.
24 tons of metal from 911 were fashioned into a new tactical vessel designed for special operations againts terrorists. It will carry 360 brave Sailors and 700 trained combat Marines which can be deployed to shore by helicopters or assault craft.
The ships motto is "NEVER FORGET" I can say that I haven't and will not.
The ship is to arrive in New York Harbor on 1 Nov 2009 and is to be commissioned by the U.S Navy on 7 Nov 2009. If you are in the New York area, it can be toured during this week.
I pray that we never have to use this ship of it's intended purpose but also pray that if we do need to that our leaders will unleash it's mighty capabilities to save and protect this great nation, it's ideals and it's people.
