Closing gifts for Relos?

So, I have a Seller who is relocating to NC from St. Louis. I want to give a nice closing gift. There is a possibility they will be moving back in a year and they still have lots of friends here so I want to make it something they will remember and hopefully refer me to others!

I have been considering giving a restaurant gift card in their new town, or maybe a flower of the month club. I also saw a company that sells magazine subs and brands them for you- this might be a good one.

Anyone have any good thoughts for this? Since they won't be in town after the move, I don't want to give anything too local....

I would LOVE some suggestions! I have seen a lot of posts about gifts but not one that addresses this specific situation.

I have a great idea!

I have one of those nice organic places deliver a fruit of the month for three month, then again at Thanksgiving, Christmas and then on thier 1 year anniversary. It's garanteed to keep you in front of your clients. I love to use Harry and David's mostly because it come nicely packaged is priced reasonably and I can order online, no need to talk to annoying telesales! That and the fact i get a discount on a gift for me....Chose the cheesecake MMmmmm yummy!

Hi Jennifer, I like the magazine idea especially when your name is on the label --- it'll remind them of you every month! The other thing you could check into is a newspaper subscription at their new locale! Again, they'll remember you every morning!

So, I decided on a gift certificate to a restaurant near their new home, and a stamped set of postcards announcing their move that they can send out. Since this couple will potentially be moving back here in a year (husband is on sabbatical from local university), I want to make a good impression. I plan to keep them on my email and direct mail lists also...
