Being a native Texas it would be fair to say that I might be just a Little biased towards the place I call home. It would also be fair to say that the people in Texas are among the friendliest and most helpful in the country. I have traveled to almost every state in this great land and have met some interesting people along the way but there's no place like home. Mine is in Texas.
More specifically, Helotes, Texas. Derived from the Spanish word"elotes" meaning "corn on the cob" , it is a vibrant, growing city on the northwest edge of San Antonio, Texas. Just minutes away from both Sea World and Fiesta Texas theres always something to do for the whole family . If you are in the mood for a boat ride or some fishing Medina Lake is thirty minutes away by car. You can make it to the A.T & T. center in about the same amount of time where you can catch a Spurs game or concert.
There is always something to do around San Antonio weather it is the "taste of the town" food and wine tasting " sponsored by KLRN, The Texas Folk Life Festival at the institute of Texas cultures or one of the many Fiesta events. Or you can always take a stroll along the beautiful downtown river walk.
A better than average job market, a lower cost of living and a growing economy all contribute to San Antonio's recent population growth. It is truly a vibrant and interesting place to be and I am sure that if you ever have the chance to visit you will agree.
