Weekly Design Tip #4

By
Home Stager with Platinum Home Designs

GO DRAMATIC!

 When it comes to interior design and decorating, I suggest using accessories to add a "punch" of colour.

The major materials used and/or larger pieces of furniture should be classic and neutral, for longevity. Unless you have the funds to renovate or replace your furniture every couple of years, this is solid advice.

And where should you go dramatic???

In rooms that you aren't in for extended periods of time, so no chance of getting tired of them quickly......like Bathrooms and Dining Rooms.

These are just examples of how to go dramatic!

Beautiful pictures...I love dramatic!  I don't want people walking in my home and saying "very pretty" I go for the WOW factor.

Hi, Sheron...

These are from various places (assuming different designers)...

sorry, don't have info off-hand..but I'll try to obtain it.

I am presently completeing a bathroom that has a similar feel.

The layout is different;

we are ripping out the tub and putting a basin in with a slate floor, slate bench a charcoal grey glass tile (1" x 1") for the shower walls (with alcove inserts for shampoo, etc.), glass doors, and a honed granite to finish off the exisiting cupboards. It will have a over mount counter sink and a rainshower head.

I'll post pic's when the project is done!
