Highlands Ranch Celebration - 4th of July
The 4th of July is a holiday I have always enjoyed. Living in Highlands Ranch, that tradition continues for me & my family as we have regularly participated in the Highlands Ranch Independence Day celebrations here in town. Last year was no different and we spent a good part of our day at the celebration at Town Center. My kids frolicked in the fountains at Civic Green Park, checked out the kiddie rides, listened to the music from the Civic Green Park stage, splurged on ice cream & treats in Town Center and off course - topped off the night with Fireworks.
This year will be no different for Highlands Ranch as they celebrate once again with a full day of festivities. Think about stopping by for the whole day or just for a little - either way there is sure to be something for everyone.
- 4th of July Parade - 9am - from east of Town Center on Highlands Ranch Parkway - south on Broadway - west on Burgundy & back to Town Center
- Highlands Ranch Run Series - 4th of July 10K - 10:30 am - a 10K on the trails of Highlands Ranch - Town Center
- 4th of July Celebration- Highlands Ranch Town Center 11:00 am - 6pm - Fun for the whole family - rides, food, music & all other kinds of community treats. Kids Pet & Bike Parade is in the afternoon - registration at 1:30 at Hepburn & Mayberry.
- Fireworks - 9:15 across from Town Center. Many people view the fireworks from Civic Green Park or Town Center
Here's a personal tip. If you want are looking for a less crowded place to view the fireworks - we generally sit a bit north west of them in the tennis courts parking lot of Redstone Park (Town Center Drive and Foothills Canyon Blvd) - great view and not so crowded!
This well organized celebration is another reason I love living and working in Highlands Ranch. Hope to see you there!
