Reblogger Carissa Acker

This is actually a re-blog. I am new to active rain so not sure if that will be spelled out but wanted to give credit to the actual writer. As everyone knows I am a social media junkie and this has some pretty cool features. In between soccer games, airport pick ups, and bday parties I will try to locate an invitation to google wave so I don't have google wave envy for the next few months. Have a happy weekend!!!

I was just reading through some random blogs and discovered that Google has just taken email to yet another entirely new level and they call it "The Wave".

I found a video that pretty much breaks it down to look at and give a fairly clear overview of the new system.  It actually is like a social media on steroids - maybe this is what web 3.0 will be like?

What I also found out is that Google only sent out 100,000 invitations to use the new service with no announcement of when it will be rolled out on a larger scale,,,my guess is not too long, certainly I would think it would be fairly common by the end of the year...but who knows with Google...

If you want to be one of the earlier innovators toe get your own WAVE Account, my understanding is they are currently selling for about $90 an account, on eBay, with some of the first going for as much as $300 on eBay.    Google has always made it's tools available for free - like Gmail, it is only those who feel like they "need it now" will pay for it.

So check out the video and tell me if you'd pay $90 for this and have your own wave, right now...

And no, I did not know you were a Social Media Junkie.  I am still trying to figure it out and make it work together.  I have all of the accounts and do some Tweeting at SanJacintoRE - but other than a few clicks to my website or blog, I have not been able to accomplish anything.

So, I have gone ahead and subscribed to your blog wiht the homes of learning some practical ideas on how to best leverage Social Media.

I'll be around,

John
