Being relatively new to the concept of blogging as a way to build relationships, I am always looking for tips from others who have preceded me in this endeavor here on active rain. I found one such tip in a blog from Jeff Dowler in Carlsbad California. He said "the #1 tip for getting started is to be committed."
One of the tips in the comments section was to start by introducing yourself. After reading this i realized that I had not yet done this, so I would like to do it now.
I am David Mieth, a Realtor with Exit IH-10 Realty in San Antonio, Texas. A native son of Texas, I have over 10 years experience working in the Media in both San Antonio and Austin. This experience was an education in the development of my communication skills and my ability to deal with people. It was also fun!
I have worked in middle management in the telecommunications industry for 15 years. Here I learned the importance of being detail oriented and the ability to put the customers needs first and deliver exceptional customer service.
I have been a student of Real Estate for many years but still feel like there is so much more to learn. I studied for my Real Estate license at Allied Business Schools and have taken continuing education courses at Champions School of Real Estate and The San Antonio Board of Realtors. I am currently preparing to begin work on my GRI designation.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Rick Fry, my mentor at Exit IH-10 Realty, Roland San Miguel and all the folks at Exit and everyone on Active Rain for all the support and encouragement.
Everyone that I have encountered to this point in my pursuit of a meaningful career in real estate has been so helpful and supportive that I feel confident the road ahead will provide a rewarding and satisfying journey.
