Can you guess what kind of train is this? and I am not referencing make and model?

Jennifer I don't know what kind of train it is, but Mara's guess sounds pretty good to me.
It could be one of those trains they call a Budd Car. Self contained drive, with an operator up front, sort of like the subways.
I would say a stationary one.... just like a stationary bike.... hows that Jennifer and how are the leaves.. i miss those dynamite colors...
Perhaps a Pullman car, at the end of a steam train riding the rails on a crisp fall day to view the leaves!!
Mara - it is not a diner however there is water near by.

Ed I don't know what a Budd Train is, I will have to look it up.
Kathy This one is not stationary. The leave should look wonderful in the next 2 weeks, I will post photos.
June - That's it! a train to go see the fall foliage. The second picture was a clue.
Jennifer--Looks like a passenger car...my son was infactuated with trains as a child....we rode on and photographed many of them. :)

I love trains. My dad workded for Canadian National Railway for 36 years. I always wanted to do a fall trip. I'm sure you had lots of fun. We have an Agawa Canyon trip in Northern Ontario and maybe some day I will get there.

Jennifer, Next time I am in the Hudson Valley I would love to ride the train. The Hudson Valley is always pretty, but this time of year, especially!
Jennifer, there is a town in southern Wisconsin that does the same thing. It's a great way to spend a couple of hours on a crisp fall afternoon.
I love the historic railroads. We have one in Strasburg, PA. Great photos!
