Hi Tanya. They definitely have that Beatles look going. I have always wondered, do you celebrate Halloween in Montreal? Do they do anything at the Old Port, or is it already too cold?
Hi Jane... If by "Xmas outfit" you mean the pages of the Toys 'R' Us Christmas catalogue taped to their bodies to make sure we "get the hint," then yes, they are already in their Xmas outfits : )
Hi Brian... Of COURSE we celebrate Halloween in Montreal, though we have to do it on our ski-doos and only from noon to 2:00 p.m. because of the buckets of snow we've already received and the dark that comes at 2:30 p.m. ... JUST KIDDING! No, it is NOT that cold up here yet, at least not by our standards. The snow usually starts flying in November but doesn't stick until December. Sometimes we actually have a green Christmas! January and February are usually brutally cold, though breathtakingly beautiful with everything white and the snow sparkling in the sun. As for the Old Port, I'm sure there will be something going on...this is the city of "joie de vivre" afterall. Thanks for stopping by.
You convinced me Tanya. I may have to fly up this winter just to see the snow. I have only been there in Spring and Summer and residents told me in the Winter people just go underground and don't emerge until around May. I guess they were exaggerating. The coldest I have ever been was on a rainy day in Quebec City. You are right though, even with the cold, it is still too beautiful.
Hi Brian... Some do go underground for winter...but emerge in March, not May. March is the season of spring fever and there's nothing like it. Others of us have decided to love it or leave it when it comes to winter. We ski and skate in the winter...and are experts at snow forts : )
GROOVY BABY! OH BEHAVE!
I have been inspired. Thought I would be a vampire queen at our costume party coming up. But 60s groovy is better!
Hi Candice... A few years ago, we had a 40th wedding anniversary party here for my in-laws. The theme was 1965. I dressed as Cher and my husband dressed as Sonny. We encouraged everyone to dress up, and we had a kit bag of 60s accessories for everyone (John Lennon glasses, peace necklaces, etc.). OMG what a blast. Groovy is ALWAYS better, baby!
Well hello there, Christine and Jennifer. "Elegant" vampires, eh? The times, they are a' changin'! Then again, wasn't that Elvira? (Damn, have I aged myself again?)
