On my site, www.highendchicago.com , I offer clients and agents alike the ability to sign-up for my monthly newsletter which keeps my network informed about what is going on in the industry and in the neighborhoods that I specialize in.
To facilitate this I collect the 5-7 best articles I have come across that month and make links to them on my site for easy reference to my clients.
Next I put together a heat index for 3 "hot" Chicago neighborhoods based on a the for sale/sold ratio of 7 different property types in each neighborhood. This allows us to keep tabs on how the market is performing and judge whether the market truly is leaning towards a buyers or a sellers market. By receiving this on a monthly basis my subscribers slowly but surely gather a strong understand of these markets.
In addition to information, I also feature 'hot' properties that I have listed so that my subscribers can have first dibs on the real estate gems that I come across.
The company that I work for, Real Living, has systems setup so that we can customize our own websites and newsletters so it is very easy for me to produce whatever I can think of to give my clients and subscribers what they need.
As a testament to the perceived value of my newsletter, I have been receiving new newsletter sign-ups and buyer and seller requests on the day of or the day after the newsletter has gone out for the past 6 months straight.
