My wife was talking to one of her co-workers the other day and the co-worker mentioned that she saw an article in the newspaper about me having earned the "Green" designation. Another one of her co-workers got into the conversation and asked what was the advantage to having that designation; in other words, "How will it help your husband to make more money in real estate?". I guess the answer to that specific question is; it might not help me make more money but if nothing else, not only will I be able to help those customers that want to know where to get information about "Green" homes but I can provide information about upgrades, retro fits, etc. One thing I know for sure is that by being introduced to the whole "green" philosophy, I have already found ways to lower my energy consumption. Having the good people from our local electric provider perform an energy audit certainly didn't hurt either. I sincerely believe that this new "buzzword" we call "Green" is really a repackaged or re bundled set of ideas or philosophy of simply being "Responsible" Environmentally, Ecologically and Economically.
