I'm Back, but in a Different Role

By
Real Estate Agent with NextHome Complete Realty AZDRE #SA581604000

I won't fool myself into thinking anyone will remember me, or my blogs. But if you scroll down, I wrote about my very trying first year as a real estate agent, and my move to New Mexico.  All the best laid plans, but they didn't come about.  It was too difficult to try and get my New Mexico Real Estate License for the short amount of time I was there, so I decided to wait until I was back in Arizona.  Then, I waited two months to long, and my Arizona Realtors® fees doubles for being gone more than 12 months.

You wonder where I'm going with this?  Stay with me! I've been back in Arizona 12 months now, and decided that my family and life needed more attention than my real estate practice did.  The drama in my life was tremendous and its not over, but I knew it wasn't time to try and run away from it by keeping myself busy with a full time job.  All the time though, I missed Real Estate, and still check in here at ActiveRain frequently.  I won't blog though, because I feel like a hypocrite, not being a licensed Realtor right now (I'm current on my schooling, but choose to keep it inactive for now). But who's to say these blogs are all about just getting business and showing your listings?  Most of my blogs were about the community and events and personal stories. Can I still do that without being an active agent? I think so.

If I'm breaking the rules, please someone stop me and keep me out of trouble! But for now, you'll be getting some posts about Cochise County, since there isn't many of us on here to tell the world about us! Also, I love to help so please don't hesitate to contact me.  You never know when I might just jump back into the game full time, but for now, this satisfies my inner agent, without sacrificing my family or homelife.

Lexa - I think you'll be just fine blogging about community events and personal stories.  It keeps things interesting and variety is the spice of life.  And who's to say you can't blog on your thoughts about Real Estate being outside the industry?

Shucks.  There are many non licensed folks on ActiveRain.

Besides, when real estate is in your blood, as it appears to be your case, there's no reason to avoid joining in discussion.  All different perspectives are helpful.

Why not put your license on referral???   I just posted about that a a few days ago.

Don't stay away just because you don't have a real estate license.  You can blog and comment to your heart's content.  Most of the pundits on the news who talk about real estate don't have a license.

Lexa,

To keep your costs down, try putting your license in referral capacity. Take care of your family and whatever else you need to. Real Estate will always be here for you when you return. In the meantime, blog baby blog.

Lexa,  I certainly hope that you keep on blogging.  I'll be watching for your posts.  And I agree that you should place your license in a referral capacity.  I am presently writing a couple of posts on referrals -- hope you will read them.  Good luck no matter what you do.
