A client that recently relocated here asked me about some possible entertainers for her four year old's birthday party. I did a little research and decided there must be others out there who would like to know about these resources as well! I have not tried out these services so I don't know how good they are. Please keep in touch if you have any experience of them so that we can update! Comments and additions are very welcome!
at KidzWiz you will find "A Birthday Your Child Will Love." Turk the Magic Genie shows up at your party and "voila"... the magic happens.
Alonzo the Incredible's site is the portal to the great magician Alonzo (a white bearded gentleman with a zap pow zizz type magic wand) who will provide magic at kids' parties, adult parties, fundraisers, events, schools, and more!
Roving Reptiles, the Reptile Guy, will bring scales and excitment to your party. No website but he's listed on "Peppers and Pollywogs" a great site for kid party resources. He does reptile shows for parties, schools, company picnics, scouting groups, church events, and even nursing homes. He will usually bring over a dozen assorted creatures...turtles, snakes, lizards, alligator (we saw this one at Taste of Edmonds and my son got to hold the alligator! whew!), the list goes on. Or just call, his name is Clayton Green, he is located in Bothell and his number is (425) 483-2031.
Mary Shaver Marionettes are a wonderful option. Shows include "Cinderella and the Bug Brigade," "Beauty in the Sleeping Woods" and "The Elves and the Shoemaker." And if you don't have a party to entertain, check to see if there will be any public performances happening soon. Mary has recently relocated from the South of France and has her studio on a racehorse ranch in the Puget Sound area. Checking the web site I see that the puppet shows have won many awards, including national awards. Here we come!
Please let me know if you find any other great performers and entertainers for kids' parties and events, or if you try any of these let us know how it went! Or if you have this type of service please send me the details.
If you're relocating to the Seattle area, I hope you will ask me for our free relocation package, and be sure to let me know you have kids and I can include a copy of the 2009-2010 Family Directory put out by Parent Map magazine with tons of local Seattle and Eastside resources and information for families. Just email me with your request and let me know which area(s) are of most interest.
