Motivational Power Quote

Two Primary Choices

"There are two primary choices in life;

to accept conditions as they exist,

or to accept the responsibility

for changing them."

Denis Waitley, Author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Two primary choices . . . .

The choices we make today shape our future.

Are the choices creating a future of possibilities or limitations?

Your choices today will either open the doors of opportunity or you'll find the doors locked and without a key to open them.

You have two choices to accept the conditions that you find ourselves in, or take the responsibility to change our conditions.

The choices are yours; make your choices and make your day matter.

Go points Lou...I think people want things to change when they are out of whack but have conflicting goals, obligations and have mental tugs of war. Example, if you were dirt poor and resented it growing up and become a Disney dad with your kids, spoiling them rotten and making the world revolve around their needs and wants...there is a paradox. You don't want them to be "poor" but material stuff is not what is needed to be rich. Being grateful and the small things that don't cost money do. Sunsets with a grandchild talking about the importance of respecting others, saving money for a rainy day, where the best fish hide when it is hot..teaching them things and seeing the wonderment. That is what I think life is about...teaching kids what you learned, what mistakes you made and why and guiding them to get the most of their life..and never, never to be a whiner, or lazy or blame others for the bumps and potholes that will come along frequently.

Hi Lou:

Nice quote...

This one made me sit back for a minute and think about it.

Nice analogy.

Lou, When things are a little "off" we tend to get carried away in that stream. This was exactly what I needed to read this morning to keep me from drifting up stream agains the current.

Hi Lou, Love the quote. My 17 year old daughter was sharing a story with me a couple of days ago about a girl at school that complains quite a bit. My daughter told her on Friday, "You know you can spend your life complaining or you can decide that enough is enough and that you're going to change the things you don't like in your life and make them better. The decision is yours." Thanks for the reminder.

Lou,

Anyone that complains needs to read this.

Andrew,

I love your comment. We were not rich in a financial way, but my parents are still together we love seeing them and they taught us about family, hard work, being happy with anything, and sticking together. I just hope I can teach that to my son.
