What A Surprise!

Did you know that Branson, Missouri is conveniently located within a day's drive of over half the country's population?  Wow! That's amazing!  More than half the people in this country can drive here within a day. I guess maybe that is why there was approximately 1.5 Billion dollars spent in this area last year! And, an estimated 7.8 million visitors in 2006! It's amazing what can be discovered with a little research. I also found out that 91% of those that came here did so for the shopping. Not the shows, not the theme parks, nor the golfing! Who would have guessed?

What got me started on this annotation was the fact that, here in late June, the tourist season has begun in earnest. I left the office during my lunch hour to do some banking business and got caught in bumper to bumper traffic. I actually was a bit surprised by this. I really hadn't realized that summer was here and so were the crowds. I found myself chuckling a little to myself as I settled in for what turned out to be an hour and thirty minute lunch. (Forty-Five minutes spent in traffic!). I didn't get upset at all. I sort of enjoyed sitting there, inching along, looking at all the people who had come here to enjoy this town I call my own.

So, after I got back to the office, I decided to do some research. That's how I ended up sharing with all of you some awesome stats about Branson. I do believe that all the people who come to visit Branson, end up enjoying more of Branson than what they started out coming here for. What a surprise!

p.s. These numbers are true facts from the Branson Chamber of Commerce! :)

John, home prices all depend upon what you are looking for or interested in. Executive homes, single-family, two-story, ranch, acreage or not. The market is very good here. Everything from 100 Grand to upward of 900 Grand! We even have a com'l vacant lot listed at 4.5 mil! Can I interest you in something? :)

I am interested in knowing the rent/purchase ratio. E.g., For a purchase price of 100k what would the rent price be? And, if the ratio is good, I would be looking for a referral to a property manager. They need to be a member of NARPM. www.narpm.org

Is the 150k range a better ratio? Or 200k?
