Free Mortgage Credit Scores
As reported in the Wall Street Journal, you can get credit scores free. All 3 bureaus will give you a free credit report as required by law once a year. However, they charge you for you credit scores. These scores are used in everything it seems these days but more importantly for mortgages.
The article names 3 websites that give out "a" credit score and how each score is determined, helpful hints on how to increase the score and how you rank. Those websites are as follows:

I personally went and tried each. Now remember one thing about myself, I don't have a lot of patience. I had recently refinanced my mortgage loan so I had a good idea of my scores.
Credit.com was easy and I did get "a" score. It was close to my actual scores that I had experienced when I refinance my home mortgage.
CreditKarma.com was fairly easy and the score was close but not as close as Credit.com. I had to fill out a lot information about myself and I get this feeling that over the next week or two I will be getting a lot of "crap" emails.
Quizzle.com was fairly easy but the credit score wasn't even close. Not much confidence in that website.
