Was just wondering if anyone has used House.com as a lead generation and if so have you had any Luck? I get so much of this stuff via email as I am sure we all do. I usually just delete it cause its too much and i am sceptic by nature. any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Great Question... I have never used them but doubt the purchased leads are worth much. I always hit delete and now that many of them have discovered ActiveRain as a source for finding Agents they tend to call my cell. I shut them down within seconds...
Point2.com is a webhosting site. My website is through them. I recieved a couple leads just from them. Its great because my website is free. There is an uprgrade for prpfessional. Not ready for that yet since there is a monthly fee. You should look into it.
As far as any lead generating company, I think its a waste of time. They don't filter the leads, most are bogus. Just keep passing you cards out. Its the best lead generation you can do.
I have been contacted by HouseValues.com, which is also a lead generation. I ask them to give me contacts of realtors in my local area that were members. I spoke to one of them and he said after 6 months he had not had any leads from them. The second one that is a member very rarely sells anything in the MLS. That convinced me. I would rather spend my money marketing to my past clients for referrals.
Maureen... I am familiar with Point-2-Sites and wrote a few postings about them. Great free site or $8.95 monthly for you own domain name.
Dan my site is free. I got my domain for 16 dollars for 2 yrs. You can't go wrong.
Jeannette - I'll have to take a closer look at my credit card bill.... Initially when I requested the domain name I was under the impression that the only cost was $8.95 for the year but thought I noticed it on a few monthly bills Figured I misunderstood and it was a monthly fee.
One of my agents had a BAD experience with these people. They were being charged $75.00 a month for leads and then after about 7 months and not checking their visa statements until tax time, they noticed that the company had been charging their account for the past 5 months at $150.00 a month and no emails or no written notices of any price increase were given. They have been fighting to get their $600.00 back for almost a year now and just decided to forget it. But if I were you I'd run the other way. BAD business practises!
