St. Charles North & St. Charles East were ranked "The Top of the Class" among other schools across the country. St. Charles East was ranked 25th and St. Charles North 30th in the state of Illinois.
These two high schools were the only high schools in Kane County to make the list. The list is made up of 1300 high schools nationwide. The list was published in June by Newsweek.
St. Charles is located 30+ miles west of downtown Chicago. Located along the gorgeous Fox River the town has a long rich history along with many community events which draws thousands of people each year.
There are miles and miles of bike trails running north and south along the river as well as trails east towards Chicago and west into Sycamore. There are also approx. 18,200 acres within the Kane County Forest Preserve throughout the county.
