For example a Plano house assessed at $200,000 would generate a property tax bill of $4,291.60 ($200,000 assessed value x .2.145800% tax rate)

Taxes and Texas they seem to go hand in hand. Your rates appear to be similar to ours here in Austin. That is as long as you're not in a MUD or a PUD then they really hurt.
