One of the Ottawa Real Estate Questions I often get asked by Sellers is "How important is it to stage my home when I decide to Sell?"Of all the Ottawa Real Estate Questions this is probably the single most important thing you as a Seller can do in order to realise a quick Sale, almost as important as the most important of all the Ottawa Real Estate Questions and that is to price your home at the RIGHT MARKET PRICE.
So here are 3 tips on how you should stage your home brought to you from http://OttawaRealEstateQuestions.com
1.Declutter: Store away all your personal items so that your home looks bigger and less cluttered
2.Depersonalise:Remove all family photos and anything that reflects your personality or religion. You want the home to appeal to the broadest spectrum of people possible.
3.Neutralise:Paint colours and decor should be as neutral as possible in order to appeal to the Buyer when Selling a home, so if you are going to paint, chose a neutral tone of paint, not colours that are specific to your preference as the Buyer will go around the home and be adding up the costs to change the paintwork !
4.Staged homes are often appraised higher than unstaged homes and take about half the time to sell as unstaged homes.Buyers cannot visualise size or a pristine home and this is fixed through Staging.
