Toll House Pumpkin Patch has a unique fall harvest setting with several children activies. After you pick your perfect pumpkins, the kids can enjoy a maze, train ride, rock climbing wall and an inflatable bounce house. Moana Nursery Halloween Fest ~ 1100 West Moana Lane, Reno Nevada. Starts at 1p.m. on October 24, 2009
Moana Nursery is one of Reno, Nevada premier garden centers with several locations in the Reno/Sparksareas. They are locally owned and operated and have been doing business in Northern Nevada since 1967. This year they are hosting a Harvest Fest on October 24 at 1p.m. at the Moana location.
Pet lovers/owners ~ This is your chance to dress up your pets in their best Halloween costumes and let them parade around on the "Spooky Pouch Parade!"
Bring the fattest pumpkin you have to be weighed and win a prize! Pumpkins must be checked in by 1:30p.m.
Bakers bring your favorite harvest dish and enter the Harvest Bake - Off contest. Have your dish entered by 11:30a.m. Judging will begin at 1p.m.
Halloween Howl ~ Garden Shop Nursery located at 3636 Mayberry Drive, Reno Nevada. October 31, 2009 from 1p.m. to 5p.m.
This event is for people and their pets, featuring pet trick or treating, a pet psychic, animal costume contests, pet photos, dog games, a parade at 3 p.m. led by Reno Aces mascot Archie, free hot chocolate and cookies, pumpkin painting, music, and more. Tickets in advance are $20 for adults and $5 for children. At the door, they are $25 and $10. Proceeds benefit the Shakespeare Animal Fund.
Sparks Great Pumpkin Carnival ~ Alf Sorensen Community Center at 1400 Baring Blvd. Sparks, Nevada. Event hours are from 6pm to 8:30p.m. October 29, 2009
The 23rd annual Sparks Great Pumpkin Carnival is a great place to take your children if you are looking for a safe and entertaining alternative to trick - or - treating. This event is always packed with children dressed in costume making their way through interactive booths playing games, winning prizes and trick - or - treating with local business vendors.
There will be a haunted house and a homemade costume contest. Prizes will be awarded for best homemade costume in different age groups.
Reno Harvest Festival ~ 3925 Neil Road, Reno Nevada
October 31 - At the Neil Road Recreation Center, 3925 Neil Road in Reno. The City of Reno's Harvest Festival will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., featuring a fun and safe Halloween environment with candy, trick-or-treating, face painting, prizes, and bounce houses. Entry is $1 or a can of food.
