Anna Banana, where are you now? Can I come live with you? Summer's are wonderful here, but winter from Nov to June is just too much! This photo was taken on Berthoud Pass, in September! Today the temp is going to reach 79, It's the last warm before the interminable cold.
John, this photo was taken in Sept., at over 11,000 ft. Our temperature today is going to be 79. It's our last hoorah of the year. Thanks for stopping by.
Marianne, I love it when the snow sits on the trees, I just think it is so pretty - this is a nice shot, and makes me think I should find my cross country skis and get back into the snow.
Marianne,
Pretty as a postcard. Snowfalls are so pretty when they are fresh. Very nice shot. :)
Steve
Morning Mary! I took this while crossing Berthoud Pass in September. We travel that way frequently. There's nothing as beautiful as when the trees a covered with snow!
Thank you, Steve. And if you like snow all over everywhere, you should be here today. We're sitting in approx. 2.5" of snow, and expecting a total of 6". Brrrr!
Nice shot Marianne, I love winter, right up there with fall...though I will admit as I get older, it takes a little longer to remember that I love winter, after the first snap!
I don't love winter. It initially beautiful, then it gets old. Especially around April.
I have to say that photos like this make me glad I live in Wisconsin and can see this sort of thing time and time again.
Hi Peggy: You must be outside one of the big cities. I'll have to check on a map for the Ozaukee & Washington Counties. Thanks for stopping in.
Well, Debra, you really hit the nail on the head! We've been under one of the worst autumn snow storms in over 10 years! 43" in a community west of Denver, high up in the hills. We, here in Colorado Springs, got around 6" give or take a few. But, the worst part, was the extreme cold and all the ice on the roads. They say the storm has moved on, and we'll warm up by Halloween eve. Thanks for stopping in!
Hi Marianne - looks like winter has a good start for you. Beautiful shot! I used to live up in Eagle County and I sure miss the skiing and hiking - but not so much the bitter cold.
