The Charleston Trident Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service reported 531 residential single family detached home sales in September. This was a 20% decrease over August sales. Both the average sales price of $252,595 and the median price of $185,000 were consistent with August numbers. The average days on market (DOM) was 106 which was an improvement over August DOM of 122. On average, homes sold for 95% of the list price. For every home sold, 2.16 homes were newly listed for sale. Of these, 6648 are identified as single family detached homes which is also a decrease over last month's inventory. As of October 15, sales of detached homes are down 15.67% over the same time period last year.
