David is an inspector who posted a "home inspector" list thread, but only included NACHI members. I just wanted to make sure the ASHI inspectors are represented as well. The ASHI list I posted can be found by accessing the link I attached.

Oh I am familiar with the ASHI list. I have had a link to it on my old, ugly website for years. My companies advice to consumers is to hire an ASHI inspector.
Most of the home inspectors on my short list are ASHI, one large firm was but is not. I still have them on my list because "they excede ASHI standards."
NAHI is different than NACHI? I have become excedingly interested in the home inspection community within ActiveRain for some odd reason recently. I tried to find David's list.. I will have to look further, thanks.

Yes, NAHI has different standards than NACHI. David's list was actually posted a day or two before I posted mine (6/21/07). When he put it up, I went to check to see if our company name was on there, but it wasn't. Then I realized that it was just a NACHI list which came off as a complete home inspector list. I had to make sure the ASHI guys were given their just due. Home inspection is definitely an interesting line of work. Personally, I love looking at different homes and helping new home buyers become familiar with their future prospective homes. Dont forget NABIE http://www.nabie.org/ Ther are also a few directories that list inspectors that meet there State standards http://www.americanhomeinspectordirectory.com/ is one.
