Builder Incentives Towards Realtors

By
Real Estate Agent

Here's a question where all are invited to reply.  Just wondering what incentives Home Builders are offering to Realtors.  I've seen a few ranging from a free cruise if you sell a certain number of their units to airline miles for a roundtrip ticket.

So let's hear what builders are doing to keep their inventory in your consideration for your buyers.

Little higher commission than "normal". About 1-1.5% higher in some cases. Some developers don't offer much, they like to sell on their own.

My most recent builder was amazing- 6% coop, and 1/2 paid UP FRONT.  Our buyers are responsible for a 10% down payment- non refundable- so if an agent brought in a buyer, they got paid 3% within a few weeks of the contract, and the balance when the house finished.  Average prices were 500k, and they sold like hotcakes!

Thanks Laure, sounds like a strong offer.  Raj, I appreciate your response.  I've found that some builders have amnesia about Realtors until the market goes soft and then they want our attention.  Keep the comments coming.
