New Home or Resale?

old houseShould I purchase a new home or resale? The answer to that question depends upon the market, your specific preferences and your housing requirements. Although there is no simple answer, I’ll help you determine which may be best for you at any given time.

The first consideration is: What is available? Are there a sufficient number of new or used homes in the area where you want to live to provide you with a reasonable choice? You may have a pre-determined idea of whether you want new or used, but if there aren’t enough homes of your preference to consider, then the obvious choice is to consider the alternative.

Hi John, Always a good question. And, the options must be weighed.  In our market here in Brevard County Florida, there is absolutely no question...buyers are purchasing those resale properties right now. We have a large inventory of houses that are 1-4 years old, some have never been lived in, that are being sold for incredibly affordable prices.

Sandy - I've heard of some of the deals down there. It's a great time for bargain hunters.
