Friday's Did You Know? Lake Sammamish Frozen!

This Friday's did you know, should be titled could you imagine!
Back in 1950 Lake Sammamish froze completely through. on January 29, 1950 after a week of temperatures around 10 degrees below zero and over a month of temperatures never above freezing, Lake Sammamish froze solid...5" of frozen ice in the center!
Harriet Fish, an Issaquah resident and Author of the book "This was Issaquah" recalls building bonfires at the lakes edge so families could ice skate, and play hockey on Lake Sammamish.
