Thankful Thursdays: Letting it Bee!

Smell the flowers

Are there days or weeks when you feel your life is similar to a busy bee?

Always on the move, flitting from place to place in a frenzy to get as much done as possible so that all your efforts seem to fade into the blur of day-to-day, week-to-week monotony?!

Working long hours without rest or relaxation results in exhaustion and opens the door to costly mistakes professionally while negatively impacting your personal life.

Remember to stop and smell the flowers... bees do it...and don't you deserve it?!

Nevin, Isn't it crazy how time gets away from us when we work? But I will not complain...busy is good! You're working hard so you can finance that next ski trip, aren't you?

Wanda

I was a Wisconsin beekeeper (still am, just have to get back into it) with lots of colonies at one time. This was always one of the most beautiful sights to me in seeing something so peaceful as a bee going about their routine.

Tom, One thing I've noticed as well is the honey bees are not aggressive at all and just want to get their job done. Utah is also known for their honey - that is another post altogether!

Wanda,

The last time I stopped and smelled a flower, I got stung by a bee that was in there. Now I look first.

Bees are the workers of agriculture in nature and are coming under increasing environmental pressure as hives are in trouble in many areas of the country.  Thanks for the great post Wanda.

Ha-ha! It sounds like you're really busy Al & Peggy!

Marney, I'm glad you are quite busy! That's great news!

Terry, Owww! Yes, definitely look first to make sure the flowers are bee-free at the moment!

Hi Theodora, It's nice to see your picture!

Marcia, You know...that makes perfect sense!

Dan, The phrase "Don't worry, Bee Happy!" came from bees!

Gabe, You are right. This is a great concern and needs immediate attention.

Hey Girl!  Your post is "my mood and/or mode" for the last week and a half!  Just going, going...until my body said "gone!".  So by this past Wednesday I had to break away and work from my "home office"....you know my own little world - but that's okay because they  know me there!  LOL ;-)
