VA approval for condos

Recently,  I had a client looking for VA approved condos, their range of condos was very limited.   I did some research and found that the VA will expedite an approval for a condo in a few days if it is already FHA approved.  Basically I just sent over a condo cert, and the FHA condo # and our contact at the VA was able to approve the whole complex and have it in the VA system.   This dramatically increases the pool of potential homes to make offers on for VA buyers.  Plus the if the condo is not FHA approved there is still a chance to get it approved should they meet the guidelines, however the processing time will be much longer.
