After a lot of looking around and investigating, and reading reviews, I chose the new Motorola Cliq with Motoblur. I was looking at the myTouch originally, but I really liked the idea of an actual keypad, rather than the touch-screen pad (like the iPhone has). I have been with Tmobile for what seems like ages, and I was eligible for the full "new phone" discount if I re-upped my subscription with TMobile.
I did all that just 2 days ago, and I chose the standard ground shipment option - I figured, I have a phone that works now, and I can wait a few days to get this one... who wants to pay for it to be shipped Speedy (read: expensive) Delivery.

Imagine my excitement when the UPS guy came into the office this morning with a package from TMobile!
There was my spiffy new phone! Talk about meeting and exceeding my expectations! The promptness of the delivery was outstanding.
So, now I'm going through trying to sync up all my contacts. And, I'm amazed at all the locations of my contacts. I've got contacts in Outlook, in Gmail, in an different Outlook account, in my old cell phone, in TopProducer...
So, my project for this weekend is to make a "Master Master Contact List" - eliminate duplicates, update records, and in the end, come out with something useful. Its a good reminder to me to try to just have ONE contact list and keep it current.
I think that the challenge is that I use so many methods of keeping in touch with people - from email, to text messages, to phone calls and cell phone calls, and automatic listing emails -- somewhere along the line, something is getting updated, and it isn't making it to update all the other spots!
That's the challenge I'm facing today.
Its a pretty good challenge to have, really - its good to know enough people to have that be the challenge.
