Valley of Fire North end of Lake Mead. This is the local where a lot of old sci fi movies were shot. The last one I knew about was "Star Trek Generations"

I remember when we camped there with the kids, hottest for the longest I'd ever been!
It is a great drive through, with the AC turned uo high.
I'll bet it would be good for my joints. I just don't think the rest of me could survive there for long.

Just to pull into the parking area and watch to rock change colors was so intresting, from a distance this set of rock has a look of "velvet".
