Priorities...Who sets yours...

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with WHISPERING PINES REALTY 20398180

I like to think that "I" am in charge of my life.  But truth be told...I am not. I try to set my agenda, but, it is hardly centered around me.

I Feel "My" agenda for Priorities goes as such..."GOD" is first and foremost, and then it is my wife and then family.  Then business should come after that, but not always.  And to top that off, my priorities are really set by others whether I want them to or not.

Aging Parents...we work around their Dr.'s  appt's. delaying our own 'priorities.

Kids and Grandkids...They seam to sneak into the picture unexpectedly. ( Not always a burden ).

Friends needs...Many of our friends are elderly and need a special hand now and again.

For us Self Employed people...CLIENTS get set as a high priority over families and other needs many times.

Other issues come up that are presented as,  you must act now or it will be to late or cost more or...

Then let's not forget GOD...He has his own agenda set out for me and in his eyes that WILL come forst no matter what I want.

Yes...I would like to say that I set my own agenda of priorities in my life, but the truth is that I set the agenda around the priorities of others.  IN many ways...I would not have it any other way!

So, Who sets YOUR agenda?

That is my point exactly.  We may think we are in control, but in reality we are controled by what others need from us.

Bill, We are not even close to controling our priorities for they are in someone else's hands.

Gee your priorities sorta sound like mine, all except the aging parents.  Mine are no longer here.

My priority in 1964 was to get out of Tripoli......I tried EVERYTHING and still couldn't get out of there.

I do have my priorities and they are quickly changed at times.  I have to get on track to ensure I don't build my business and neglect those I have to live with.  I am attempting to find a "happy place"  to stop working on weekends.
