Speechless Sunday - Fishing Season on the Outer Banks

By
Real Estate Agent with Resort Realty - Duck

Fishing Season on the Outer Banks - There's surf fishing, pier fishing, or enjoy a half or full day fishing in the Gulf Stream. Fall here on the Outer Banks is truly awesome. While we have 4 seasons based on nature's color changes, we also have seasons based on the type of visitors we have.

Fall probably is the favorite for men. They either rent a small cabin and spend several days fishing with their buddies. As you can see by the 2 photos below, the choice for surf or pier fishing is fun and relaxing.

While there certainly a number of women who enjoy the sport, when spouses come for the fishing season, many women are content to let the men have the fishing fun while they shop. Many bargains are found in the shops that want to reduce inventory and plan for next season. Fall is a winning season on the Outer Banks ... for everyone

Your photos are so beautiful.  I am not a " fisherwoman" but I surely would like to be there now. Looks like a great place to live or vacation.

I have often woundered what you catch so close to the shore?  My idea of fishing was droping a line in the water and if a fish was dumb enough to bite I'd pull it in, shore fishing looks like a lot of work.

Linda, I do so miss surf fishing back in Texas.  Thanks for sharing.

By your clothing, I guess it's pretty chilly? I'm used to living within minutes of beaches and rivers. I guess we take these things for granted... not to mention that its' warm here too! But then, variety its the spice of life! A change in temperature is a good thing! =D
