How are your sales compared to last year?

 Well we are almost 1/2 way through the year & I usually can predict my sales for the whole year based on my first 1/2 of the year sales.  I was quite surprised to see my first half of the year sales are actually higher than   at this time last year. I was very surprised because I seem to be slow. But this could be due to the fact I am turning down listings that are ridiculously overpriced. I'm tired of spinning my wheels & then the seller ends up dissappointed no matter what you do.  Do yourself a favor, check your total sales it may surprise you & make you  feel better.

i told my broker, who is experiencing the same thing, that the reason he is doing more deals this year is because there are more deals per agent.

I had a bunch of closings in April, but May skipped.  Sometimes I get so caught up with what I'm doing, that I have every other month success.  Has always been that way for me.  I'm really busy now, and it seems like I have more than last year altogether because April I had 5, which is a lot for me in one month.  But I'd really rather have 3 every month.  Not sure I can "control" things that way though.  Never have been able to.  Any advice on that?

Glad to hear that there are other agents out there that don't "buy listings"...can't say we are jumping up and down about sales figures but things certainly are picking up ....much better than first quarter of this year or fourth quarter of last.n Every prosperous wish !

It seems since the rates have climbed in the last month, that more people are seriously buying due to the rates. I know it is not the complete answer, but I am sure it is a contributing factor.  Great post!

Ardell, You do have some control on closing dates when making offers, my sales seem to come in cycles too but we all have our "seasons"  in MA i'ts definately spring & summer.

I don't even look at those numbers until the end of the year.  The few times I did, I became complacent.  Since I've stopped watching so closely, my husband says my numbers just keep going up and up.  I've kind of reached a point where I have to find ways to work smarter, not harder.  Time management is my biggest problem.  That being said, I think I've broken new ground this year on the numbers.
