It's probably not the first time you heard it but I am excited that the government is extending the credit to first time home buyers.

I thought this was not yet official.  Is it now?

Why not let it expire?

According to an article in Yahoo the Senate has agreed but not voted on an extension...the extension is an amendment to the unemployment bill that is getting all sorts of bills attached to it, even if it is voted through it would have to then go to the house for another vote before becoming confirmed...let's keep our fingers crossed that Washington doesn't throw out the baby with the bath water on this one
