Here in Helen Ga, as in all other parts of the country stores are shouting out Christmas, Christmas, Christmas. One large retailer is holding a "Black Friday Sale" tomorrow. Instead of waiting till the day after Thanksgiving, it is tomorrow. Are you a little tired of commercialized Christmas? Are you a little more worried about your pocketbook this year? You might do what I am going to do this year.
1. Buy only for the children with a limit on the amount if you wish.
2. Tell everyone early that you are going to give of yourself this year, and ask them to do the same for you and yours. DO THIS EARLY, AT LEAST BY THANKSGIVING SO THEY KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO DO.
3. Plan what you will give, will it be home made, will it be gifts of time, will it be gifts of services? Write it down on a coupon, wrap it and give at Christmas
4. ASK your family and friends to join you, ask for ideas that will make the holidays better without spending money and still bring you close together.
now for my readers, can you contribute to my list by adding more ideas? Please let me know what you plan to do to save your pocketbook and make this a way to bring your family closer to you! I cannot wait to hear.
