Hi Everyone:
I was just thinking how lucky I am to be a realtor. It sounds so cliche, but it's true. I've been in real estate about a year and a half and couldn't be happier. I sort of fell into it, which had to be a gift from Above. In the past, if something did "go right" I might have been pretty upset about it. However, I'm now finding that I more easily shake it off. My life is far from perfect, but I'm better able to handle the bumps. It just has to be because I'm "going to" a job I love every day. Most of my work right now is with buyers. I still love taking them out to look at homes. I love putitng togehter a contract, keeping my fingers crossed for them. But there is nothing like the feeling I get when we get an acceptance. Their excitement transfers directly to me, giving me the "reward" for doing something special.
I'm now working to build my client base, which I think it the most difficult part of being a realtor. I'm not a marketing guru, I don't have gobs of money to spend on expensive campaigns and web lead generation programs, and I don't know a gazillion people.
So, I'm looking to all of you. The experts and gracious people of Active Rain for advice, ideas, and camaraderie. Thank you for all your great posts. I truly enjoy reading them. If you have any great ideas on how to bring in new clients, your ideas and suggestions are extremely appreciated. Thanks and make it a GREAT day!
Sincerely,
lisa
