Are You Busy?

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Home Tips for Women

There's a saying that when you want to get something done, you need to ask a busy person. As most of the folks who've contributed photos are small business owners, busy juggling many responsibilities, I'd like to say thanks and recognize them with their respective businesses ... and especially the 2 Active Rainers who have contributed content.

It's important to take some time to have a little fun and I especially want to thank the small business owners, all in NH, who've made a little extra time to enter my photo content. Someone is going to win 2 free hours of handyman service or a $50 gift certificate from Home Depot/Lowes.

Details on my Nuts & Bolts blog, open to all Active Rainers and anyone else who wants to leave a comment with photo here or on my blog. You have until midnight, 10/31 to submit your photos.

Anyone reading this post, if you can point me in the right direction to fix the spacing around photos ... that would be appreciated. I'd love one of those new webinars to learn how to edit (colors, H tags, and photo management).

Tina, when you upload a photo the window the URL and Title is in, are NOT the only selections.

Look for the TWO tabs at the topErby - Lexington Kentucky Home Inspector on photo insertion.  Select the "Appearance" tab. Play with the Alignment, size, spacing and border.

This one, for example is set to left alignment, size 300, spacing 30 pixels at top and sides with a red 20 pixel border!

Play with it.  Have fun.  It's easy when you know how!

Thanks Erby. I sort of know how to use "appearance" but only when inserting - I've no idea how to get back there after I hit insert, and find I don't like it. In this particular post, I switched to HTML and just inserted the HTML including photo links from my blog. It was easy until I ran into these formatting problems. Always a little more to learn ...

Thoughtfulness is key and people with busy schedules are so interesting you want to spend more time with them but end up being one more time consumer for them. It's crazy. Time spent is money invested somewhere, you have to get a return.

Tina:  to get back to change the photo, click the edit post button.  While in the edit mode, click once on the photograph.  (That should put those little squares (handles) around the picture.  Then click on the little tree button (insert/edit image) at the top of the window.  that should re-open the window that lets you change the appearance.

The key is to "Keep Learning!"

Erby, Wow ... I can't thank you enough for teaching me how to edit my photos after I've imbedded them. You can't imagine how often I've done the imbed, didn't like the way it looked and finally gave up adding the photo as I was wasting too much time. It worked perfectly and now it looks right (just had to "left align" to remove the white space).

THANKS so much for the help, and happy Halloween.

Ross, Yes our time is limited but if we believe in our hearts that we're doing the right thing (efficiently though), then we also believe there will be a return for our efforts somewhere in the future.
