Family Place Parent Child Workshop - Fall Session SIGNUPS

10:00 am

This 5 session workshop is offered to parents/caregivers and their children aged 1 to 3 years of age. Children and adults will play and learn together in an unstructured setting filled with toys and activities that foster learning and creativity. A different community specialist will be available at each session to informally discuss topics such as reading to, singing songs and sharing rhymes and fingerplays with your child, parenting, child development, movement, early childhood education, health and dental care. Pre-registration is required and signups begin Tuesday, November 10th at 10 a.m. in the library, phone calls will be accepted after 11 a.m. Limited to 25 families. Workshops will be every Monday evening from November 16th to December 14th from 6:30 - 7:45 p.m.

Dan Blumstein - UCLA Professor: "Positive and Negative Effects of Ecotourism on Endangered Species. This free educational event is sponsored by the West Los Angeles Group of the Sierra Club's Angeles Chapter. Plenty of free lighted parking.
