Windows 7, can you hear me now?

I always thought it would be interesting to have voice recognition software.  You know, where you can dictate your words and they automatically pop on screen.  Well, I'm grinding through the process of setting up my new Windows 7 and there it is, voice recognition.

I completed the tutorial last night and I am still learning how to make it function, but so far I find it very interesting.  I have spent about twice the amount of time writing this than I would have spent if I had just typed the message by hand.

You can operate the entire computer without ever touching the keyboard.  You can use voice commands to turn programs on and off and navigate everything on the computer.  I still have a lot to learn about voice recognition, but so far I have enjoyed working with it.

It seems like a nice feature. Good Luck with it.

I get a kick out of voice recognition!  ; ))  Both my Japanese and English speaking partner and I use the Google Search voice recognition app on our iPhones.  We find it quite entertaining for my partner, in his broken accent, to see how Google interprets his voice request.  It's really a hoot!
