When I see birds wearing such glorious colors as these, I know there is a power out there greater than I. Wonderful picture!
Liz - Thanks! This is a macaw at the Central Florida Zoo in Sanford. I love to visit parrots, but I'm glad to let others take care of them!
Chris - She was posing so prettily, and chatting away -- mostly "Hello. Hello. Hello." Thanks for stopping by!
Myrl - Absolutely. God does good work, doesn't he? I'm glad I got to share it with you. Thanks for letting me know about the Photos group, BTW. I signed right up!
What a beautiful bird and photo. She is so colorful and doesn't look camera shy either!! Great shot!
Laurie - The colors on this bird are fantastic. I have many similar shots from the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Fl. Nature is good!
Yvette & Dennis - She was definintely not shy. We had a limited but lively conversation with her, and she was not hiding her beautiful plumage. I'm glad you enjoyed getting a look at her, too!
John - I love macaws' color combinations. It would seem that they are favorites for zoos, too. Thanks for commenting!
I love parrots and I definitely love zoos. I will have to visit the Central Florida zoo. We are close by. Have you ever been to the Lowry Park zoo here in Tampa?
Dick & Dixie - I love the Lowry Park Zoo! It's my all-time favorite. The Central Florida Zoo is much smaller, but they've worked hard over the past decade to make it a nice little place. I hope you get to visit soon, and thanks for stopping by here, as well!
Oh that is just gorgeous! Thanks for joining the groups "Just Photos". I look forward to seeing more of your pictures in the future
What a beautiful bird she is! Polly is a pretty birdie and obviously likes to pose for pictures!
Shannon - Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the photo!
Sharon - There were two macaws in the enclosure, and this one is the one who posed prettily, and who "talked" with us. I never cease to marvel at how beautiful they are! Thanks for stopping by!
