Initial Buyer Meeting

Your initial meeting with a buyer should be to determine two things.

What are the goals of the buyer and are you the best person to help them achieve the goals.

This is the best way to determine a person's true motivation.  I have never seen this test fail.  Ask the person a question and each time they give you an answer ask why.  If you do this 4 to 5 times you will discover their true motivation.  Go ahead and give it a try.  You can even put yourself to the test. 

This is also a great way to do business planning.  It will always get you focused on your true objectives.

As for the second question, only you can answer this.  You will know in the initial meeting.  It's more a gut level feel than anything else.

This is an interesting approach.  I would have never thought of.  I am ging to have to test it out.
