EASY BBQ-QUickie Dinner

By
Real Estate Agent with Ayres Realty

Sometimes we just don't have the time to make a full meal and my husband loves BBQ.  This is easy and delicious.

 Pork roast of any size/cut.

Place in a crockpot on low.  Pour 1/2 of a bottle of barbeque sauce (any kind you like) over the top and cook on low all day. You can add a smidge of liquid smoke if you like.  In the eveing pour off all the liquid and then pour the other 1/2 of bottle of sauce over the top.

Use 2 forks to shred it and serve on buns.  Ummmm good.

Hi Sybil,

Sounds easy enough and my husband is a barbecue lover too.  Of course, there are all kinds of barbecue and I think each state has a different version.  Eastern NC's is vinegar based, have you ever had any of ours?

Hi Cynthia,

Yes, I have had NC's BBQ and love it.  My husband is originally from Asheville/Murphy and I also learned to eat BBQ and hamburgers with slaw on them.  YUM!  We actually buy Carolina Sweet BBQ sauce here in Georgia.  Love NC and hope to one day move there.
