I am very fortunate to live and work in a place that has recently had the honor of being voted....

The Best small Community to live in globally.  This place is Gibsons, BC, Canada.  With a population of under 20,000.

Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast really is a wonderful coastal community.  We have a very mild climate and many activities can be achieved year round.  We have many golfcourses, thousands of bays, and coves to explore by boat.  The fishing here is tremendous and I actually purchased an old fishing boat a few years ago to take advantage of all the stunning waterways.  Desolation sound is a few hours away and puts you in the heart of wilderness. Watch eagles soar and hunt.  Salmon jump, you might even see migrating whales of different species. I only wish I had more time to spend on the old girl....but that will come I tell myself and for now am just glad that I get a few days a year out on her. Many of the Gulf Islands are easily accessed and the coast is dotted with many terrific communities, Roberts Creek, Sechelt, Halfmoon Bay and Pender Harbour to name a few.

Anyone looking for additional information on our beautiful Sunshine Coast, British Columbia, Canada only needs to send me an e-mail and I will do my best to answer all your questions.

Julie,

Sounds intriguing!  You should include some inviting pictures in your post.

We traveled to Whistler in June and had a great time!

Take Care!

Lucky :)

Hi Lucky,

That is a terrific idea...thank you.
It is my first blog and I am grateful for the input.
Whistler is not far from us and is always a lot of fun, although I think I will be avoiding it in the New Year and will watch all the festivities from home....Too many people...LOL
