On Thursday, June 21, 2007 over 200 guest came out to help us celebrate 20 years in business in the same location! It was 20 years ago when my mother, Karen Sterba-Carby and Donna Pauls, RE/MAX agents in Addison, Illinois decided to go into partnership and purchase a RE/MAX franchise together. The two have since sold the office and have both retired. Donna retired in 1997 and Karen retired in June of 2006.
This celebration brought out a lot of friends, business associates and collegues from all different companies. Jim Merrion, RE/MAX Northern Illinois Regional Director even joined us for the celebration!
There was lots of food and drinks and lots of stories from "way back in the day"!!! It was fun to hear all the stories about how things were done 20 years ago. 
We had a raffle drawing that everyone participated in. There were 4 homes posted and we were all to guess what they sold for 20 years ago. What a great idea for a fun game! The raffle prizes were (2) $500 gift certificates to Walter E. Smithe Furniture (a higher end furniture store here in the Chicago land area), an IPOD, a digital camera and a navigation system.
Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Well...it's on to the next 20 years! 
Does anyone else have a big anniversary or celebration coming up??
We thought the "Guess the price of this house 20 years ago" was a great idea!!
