I've been telling myself I needed a new monitor (which I may still be able to justify), but I'm embarrassed to admit that I had been reluctant to touch it with anything moist for cleaning. A little brush duster was not dust and smear busting like it needed to do. After researching the issue, I was encouraged to go ahead with a soft cloth and clear the view! I did add a screen shammy to the equipment for the future. It will dust or wash as I need it.
This is a CRT monitor, the LCD monitors need a little different care, but the research I read, recommended a plain damp cloth from time to time and a very gentle touch.
This week, my 'light mouse' has just been acting possessed! The button sticks and won't let go. So, back to the research where I learned that lint can mess with an optical mouse too. I knew about cleaning the ball on a roller mouse. I checked and there was a tiny hair (looked like something shed by Peaches
It was really stuck. I had to get a tweezer to get ahold of it. But, it seems like that 'possessed' behavior has let up.
I LOVE new equipment, but after I have it I still like it and want to keep it in good shape for as long as I can.
