In January of 2006, Mike Pierce, aka Antarctic Mike, became one of nine people to start the Antarctic Ice Marathon. He lives in Southern California so who would have thought he could handle such a quest? How did he do it? He trained by cycling and jogging in a San Diego warehouse freezer that was 10 degrees below zero! He had to train in the environment he was to compete in!
Now he's a motivational speaker on achieving success in the sales industry. One of his points is that you must differentiate yourself from the competition. Are you different than the others in your industry? Are you disciplined? Do you stand out? Do you maintain a high level of respect from your co-workers and customers.
When it comes to being a real estate agent, I try to stay at the top of my game. I attend seminars, listen to motivational speakers, attend trainings at the local board of Realtors, attend conferences, enroll in classes, etc. It is important to never stop educating yourself. Something I heard many years ago has stuck with me and that is, "When you think you have arrived you lose sight of your destiny."
Is your Realtor doing more than the average agent? Do they go above and beyond what is expected of them? Are they professional? Do they continue to educate themselves in the real estate market? Do they know what is required in order to sell your home? Do they know what they can ask for when they help you buy your home? Do they keep YOUR best interests at heart? As a broker/owner of Executive Properties in Roseville, CA, it is important that I train daily in the environment that I must succeed in! I also must put my clients needs and interests ahead of my own!
If you have any questions regarding the real estate market, would like to know what your home is worth, or would like to receive my monthly newsletter, please feel free to contact me. It is my goal to be YOUR Realtor for life! I am building lifelong relationships one person at a time!
