How To Support The Troops: 101 Ways to Show Support For Our Soldiers and Veterans!

I hope we are all aware that today is US Veteran's Day. This is the day that we go out of our way to show support to all the men and women who are fighting, and have fought, for independence here in the United States, as well as around the world.

I personally know many people that have fought in the services; past and present (my own Grandfather fought in World War II and was eventually asked to open and run a bowling alley for the troops abroad!).

I found this great .PDF that lists 101 Ways To Support Our Troops. I would highly recommend browsing through and doing a few (or many!).

Happy US Veterans Day!

Taylor,

Just wondering where all this love was when I returned from Vietnam in October of 1970?

Taylor,  It is great to see this list -- it has lots of great ideas.  I know that as a Veteran that people often place blame on the military when it should be placed on the politicians.  I seem to see a much more postive attitude towards our military and I definitely like it.  Thanks for sharing this.

Taylor - a wonderful list ... In todays economy it was great to see it start with free ways to thank a vet ... I am sure they appreciate that heartfelt moment of your time

This is one of those things that we need to incorporate into our daily lives.  It would be a shame to do a repeat of Vietnam where our soldiers came home and were made to feel as if they had done something horrible.
